Welcome to Collie Shepherd Huts.Two luxury spacious shepherd huts in an area of beauty overlooking the Somerset Levels. Each Shepherd's huts has its own character and style as well as comfort in mind. We want our guests to feel relaxed unwind and retreat.This is the perfect place for couples looking for a romantic getaway or alternatively special occasion. Imagine relaxing in your wood- fired hot tub watching the sunset go down with a glass of your favorite bubbly. Relax and enjoy!

Collie Shepherd Hut is one of two shepherd's huts, adjacent to the family working farm situated in the corner of the owner's field in the small hamlet of Henley. Both Shepherd Hut's individually private each with its own garden area with wood fired hot tub fire pit/bbq grill and outside seating. Parking is available on site.
During the warmer months of the year in the paddock in front of your hut you will have the company of the Miniature Shetland Ponies quietly grazing. As well as the different sounds of wildlife and nature that surrounds you in the countryside.
The nearest small town is Langport with its artizan shops and supermarket just 4 miles by car. Or Clark's Village in Street, shopping outlet for those of you, who like to shop designer name brands. Perhaps you'd like to explore the wider area such as Glastonbury Tor, The Rural Life Museum or Glastonbury Abbey, just 15 minutes drive from Collie. Why not visit the smallest city in Wells with its grand gothic cathedral. Wells is a delightful place to visit with cobbled streets lined with medieval buildings, tea rooms and pubs as well as old fashion shops.
Somerset has many beautiful National Trust properties, Dunster Castle and Watermill, Montacute House, Lytes Cary are just a few to name. If you like cycling why not bring your own bikes and explore the Somerset levels there's plenty of cycling routes from your doorstep. Or you can higher bikes from Parrett Trail Bikes in Langport. We allow one small dog at an additional small fee (Jack Russell size) we have pleanty of local parish walks in the immediate area for you to explore, this information is provided in your welcome folder.
Interested in nature and wildlife, within a 6 mile radius from your shepherd's hut is RSPB Ham Wall Nature Preserve in Ashcott, we also have the Avalon Marshes Centre at West Hay. Other places of interest are Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole Caves just a short drive away.
Collie Shepherd's Hut
This spacious Shepherd's Hut has been carefully positioned to overlook the beautiful Somerset Levels. Quirky and cosy with privacy in mind to enjoy the indoor and outdoor space to unwind away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Collie has an open plan living room with kitchenette double gas hob, microwave oven and a fridge with top freezer compartment. A comfortable cosy king size double bed hidden behind a quaint curtain alcove. The shower room has an electric heated towel rail, wash basin, shaving socket and flushing toilet. All bed linen and fluffy towels are provided. Collie welcomes you with tea, coffee, sugar and milk as well as other complementary goodies without having to rush out to the shops. A welcome folder provides you with information about places to visit and explore as well as eating out and drinking locally. Collie has a cosy log burning stove for those chillier evenings, a smart TV and Wi-fi for entertainment and comfort, there's a small dining table for two and a comfy sofa. Imagine opening the double doors in the morning to the views that await you. Collie has everything you need providing you with a memorable stay here on the Somerset Levels.
Outside in your private garden you have your wood fired hot tub. You will be able to stargaze from the hot tub late at night listening to the wildlife that surrounds you in a peaceful part of the countryside. All firewood is provided and included as well as firelighters, no extra hidden costs, this includes logs for the burning stove and fire pit/bbq. You can sit back with a glass of bubbly or two whilst either reading a good book or watching the sunset without having to worry about leaving your beautiful quirky shepherd hut.
