Bleasdale is one of four Lantern and Larks sites nestled in the beautiful Lancashire countryside, within easy reach of the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, this is the perfect place for a family break.
Sit back and relax in one of five luxury safari tents, fully equipped with a cosy wood burning stove, hot running water and comfortable bedrooms. Parties of six or more can book multiple tents and enjoy a group break.

Beautifully situated on the edge of the Forest of Bowland, Bleasdale Estate offers a peaceful and luxurious glamping experience. Just 20 minutes from Lancaster, you’ll find the site tucked away at the end of a private country lane, surrounded by lush green fields, charming hedgerows and dry-stone walls, with the Bowland Fells providing a breathtaking backdrop.
This 'glam camping' site sits above the serene River Brock, where you can build dams, catch sticklebacks, or explore the quiet pools shaded by overhanging trees. The surrounding woods are an adventure playground for children, ideal for building dens or camps. With direct access to local footpaths, you can explore the nearby Stone Age circle or wander through the vast Bowland Fells, all without stepping near a road.
For those seeking more adventure, local cycling routes and bridleways are within reach, or you can take an electric bike from the estate to nearby Beacon Fell Country Park or the charming village of Chipping. Alternatively, explore on horseback or enjoy a relaxing cruise along the Lancaster Canal.
The estate is a haven for wildlife, with sightings of deer and the iconic hen harrier on the fells. The nearby Bowland Wild Boar Park and fishing lakes offer further opportunities to enjoy the area’s natural beauty.
Each of our luxury Lantern and Larks tents accommodates six guests and has three bedrooms that each sleep two people. There is one king size room, one twin room and one bunk bed room per tent.
You could also fit a travel cot in any of the bedrooms (these can be hired if required).
Our Lantern and Larks glamping site is situated above a private section of the River Brock. Build dams, catch sticklebacks, wander down the sleepy river banks to quiet pools in the dappled shade of the overhanging trees. Or build dens and camps in the wood behind the tents. It's a natural adventure playground for your kids.
From our beautiful forest of Bowland Lantern and Larks site, there is direct access to the local footpath network, and you can visit the Stone Age circle located 20 minutes' walk from your tent. A little further on and you reach the open access area of the Bowland Fells where you can walk for miles without seeing a car – or even other people. All this without going near a public road.Each tent accommodates up to six people, three bedrooms: one king-size room, one twin room, and one bunk bedroom. Travel cots can be added to any bedroom (available for hire).

Bleasdale Estate is situated on the western edge of the Forest of Bowland AONB. Just 20 minutes south of Lancaster, the glamping site is located at the end of a private country lane, set amongst the rolling green patchwork of grazing land stitched together by hedgerows, trees and dry-stone walls, with the Bowland Fells as a perfect backdrop – a beautiful place at any time of year.
