Set on a private estate, the site is situated near Suffolk’s Heritage Coast in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It’s unique setting overlooks ancient woodland and water which is home to countless species of wildlife and plants, perfect for nature lovers and those that wish to explore on foot or by bike.

• General information

  Nestled in a beautiful area of Suffolk, Wantisden Park is ideal for long walks and bike rides with footpaths and bridleways leading directly from the site. We have designed a variety of fully heated pods which are uniquely furnished with their own double beds with luxury linen, fully equipped kitchenettes and bathrooms with showers, sofas and TVs. Outside each one has a private decking or balcony with table and chairs, BBQ and most have their own private woodfired hot tubs where you can sit under the stars at night with a glass of something special.

  There is a cafe serving breakfasts, barista coffee and cakes as well as a small shop where you can buy a selection of luxury items and snacks as well as the essentials.

  We have a selection of luxury pods on site as well as a holiday cottage and wooden tents.

  BLUEBELL & FOXGLOVE PODS (sleeps 2)

  Both are cleverly designed side entry pods which give much more space inside and wonderful views from the bed over the water and ancient woodland. They have kitchenettes, Bluebell has a microwave and electric hob, Foxglove has a combination over with hob. Both have fridges, kettle and toaster and are fully equipped with crockery, glasses, cutlery and cookware. There is also a private bathroom with shower at the other end of the pods. Outside is a large decking, BBQ, seating and a woodfired hot tub.

  KING'S OAK (sleeps 2)

  A very unusual roundhouse with stargazing skylight and so much room inside. There is a fully equipped kitchenette with oven and hob, fridge, kettle and toaster as well as all the glasses, crockery, cutlery and cookware needed for your stay. Outside is an area of decking with woodfired hot tub, BBQ and seating with great views.

  SUFFOLK RAM (sleeps 2)

  Our extended shepherds hut is beautifully furnished with a king size bed which looks out towards the ancient woodland through a window which folds completely back. There is a kitchenette with hand crafted oak worktops, oven and hob and fridge. It has a coffee machine, toaster and kettle as well as all the equipment needed for cooking your own meals. The bathroom is amazing with a walk in shower area with 3 shower heads. Outside is a Swedish style hot tub with decking, seating and BBQ.

  LADY CAROLINE & LADY JAYNE (sleeps 2)

  These are truly unique to our site, converted steam living vans which have been cleverly designed with a table and benches at one end which has a double bed that folds down over it at night time. The kitchenettes have an electric oven and hob, fridge, toaster and kettle along with all the necessary cooking and eating equipment needed to produce your own meal. The bathrooms have been built on to the back of the vans to give more living space where you walk staight from the kitchenette. Outside is a balcony at the front and woodfired hot tub at the back with BBQ.

  BIRCH LODGES (sleeps 2 adults, 2 children)

  We have two Birch Lodges which are designed for families and are our biggest pods. They both have a large living area with separate double bedroom and bunk beds for the children. The kitchenette has a combination oven, kettle, toaster and plenty of cooking equipment, crockery, cutlery and glasses. There is also a beautifully designed bathroom with shower. Outside is an area of decking with BBQ and seating for 4 guests.

  LARGE WOODEN TENTS (sleeps 2)

  These hand built heated wooden tents are really for those guests which want to enjoy the camping experience a bit more but want a bit of luxury with it. They have double beds with linen provided as well as toaster, kettle, crockery, cutlery and glasses. Outside is a decking area with seating. There a is shower block just a few metres away with large family shower rooms and toilets.

  SMALL WOODEN TENTS (sleeps 2)

  These small heated wooden tents are ideal if you don't want to bother putting up a tent. They have two camp beds with mattresses and pillows so all you need to bring is your sleeping bag.  We also provide a kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery and glasses and seating for outside.

  BRAMBLE COTTAGE (sleeps 4)

  Our semi-detached holiday cottage is adjacent to the site and has it's own fully equipped kitchen diner with oven, microwave, taoster, kettle, fridge freezer and coffee machine. There is a sitting room with electric woodburner and two comfy sofas, utility with washer / dryer and cloakroom. Upstairs is a bathroom with shower and two bedrooms which can be set up either with a kingsize bed or two singles. Outside is a large enclosed garden with patio, BBQ and seating and gazebo area with a woodburning hot tub.

    

• Things to do onsite and nearby

  Located near the Heritage Coast in Suffolk, there are wonderful towns and villages to visit. The Oyster Inn in Butley is a 15 minute walk from the site. Sutton Hoo, the Anglo Saxon burial site made even more famous in the Netflix drama 'The Dig' is just 10 minutes drive from us and well worth a visit. Just a few minutes drive from there is the lovely town of Woodbridge situated on the River Deben with great shops, restaurants and pubs. Orford, with its Norman castle and quay overlooking the River Ore, is 5 miles away as is Snape, with its wonderful concert hall and amazing shopping in the Maltings - both perfect for a day out cycling. A bit further a field are the coastal towns of Aldeburgh and Thorpeness where fish and chips on the beach is a must!
